Our local NSDC/Parish Councillor has requested an update from NSDC on both the brown bin collection and also the pending glass collection, for your information.

NSDC staff explained that: The brown garden bins are emptied once per month during the winter, December, January, and February. The collection dates are displayed on the NSDC website if there are any queries: Home Page - Bin Collection Day (newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk)

The glass recycling service situation is, we have applied to the environment agency for an environmental permit which must be have in place before we can manage the glass transfer station. Without the transfer station, we have nowhere to take the glass we have collected. We have applied for this license, and it is being processed by the environment agency. Without the permit in place we can not start the service.

However, we have made great progress with the sourcing of bins, lorries and crews. Once the permit is granted we will communicate with residence again and advise the collection dates and delivery of the new bins and a start date. (edited).
